Simone Crolla has been Managing Director of American Chamber of Commerce in Italy since 2009, an organization active in promoting transatlantic relations between Italy and the United States, taking care of both institutional and business aspects, with a focus also on strategic internationalization projects for Italian SMEs interested in developing their business in the American market. Since 2013 she is Director for Europe of Incentives for Global Health (IGH), an international Organization based in California (US) focusing on access to medical drugs at a global level. At IGH she is mainly responsible for public affairs in the European Area. Since 2010 she is an academic researcher on sustainable development, with a deep focus in the life sciences field, in collaboration with LUISS University (Roma) and Yale University (USA). She has been a Visiting assistant in research at Global Justice Program of Yale University (CT, USA).  Between 2016 and 2021 she has managed the Research Division of Rucellai & Raffaelli law firm, also developing advocacy activities. Former legal consultant in civil, commercial, IP law and M&A at major law firms. She holds a degree in Law at LUISS University (Roma), a PhD in Law and New Technologies at Università di Bologna and a recently completed Executive MBA at SDA Bocconi University (Milano).

During her professional journey, she served as Political Affairs intern and as UK Regional Director for The Borgen Project, showcasing leadership in poverty reduction initiatives and government relations. Elena also ventured into the corporate world, interning at Enel Group in Brussels, where she supported the daily activities of the European Affairs Unit. Elena’s commitment extends beyond her professional roles. As a Partner and Volunteer for Energia per i Diritti Umani, she collaborates on projects focusing on human and social development in Italy, Senegal, Gambia, and India. Recognized for talent and innovation, she participated in programs like the Financial Times x Made in Italy Challenge.
