Through his experience with two prominent Italian firms, and a professional experience in Rome, he developed a deep understanding of the mechanics behind legislative and regulatory production, supporting the positions of national and international key players within the relevant institutions. He has supervised projects in the energy, phytopharmaceutical, digital and sustainability sectors, among others. At Haizum, he contributed to structuring the Public Affairs vertical and is responsible for monitoring, regulatory analysis and strategic advisory on key public affairs dossiers. A graduate in Political Science and International Relations from the Università Cattolica in Milan, Filippo also distinguished himself through extra-curricular activities, receiving awards for his contribution at Model United Nations conferences. He also obtained a diploma as International Politics and Technological Analyst at the Rome-based think tank Istituto Affari Internazionali.

Elena holds a dual Master’s degree in (MSc) International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and (MA) International Security from Sciences Po, as well as a First-Class BA (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Sussex. She also completed the executive course “Global Competitiveness Challenges” at the SPES Academy “Carlo Azeglio Ciampi,” focusing on institutional, economic, technological and ecological issues affecting governments and international organizations. 

Before joining Haizum, Elena gained experience in both institutional and corporate environments. She interned at Enel Group in Brussels, supporting the activities of the European Affairs Unit, and worked with The Borgen Project, where she conducted political outreach in the UK and later served as UK Regional Director, mentoring interns and contributing to advocacy initiatives aimed at poverty reduction

Elena has been recognized in several international talent and innovation initiatives, including being selected among 100 participants for the Financial Times x Made in Italy Challenge, a global hackathon focused on the future of Made in Italy, digitalisation and sustainability. She also completed the Bloomberg Market Concepts certification at the Bloomberg Finance Lab. 

Alongside her professional career, Elena is actively involved in social and international development initiatives. As a partner and volunteer with Energia per i Diritti Umani, she collaborates on projects focused on human and social development in Italy, Senegal, Gambia and India. Lorenzo started his career in economic journalism, to move then into the consultancy sector where he spent several years as Head of Corporate and Financial Communications practice and Board member in the leading US firm Burson-Marsteller (WPP Group), providing C- Level advisory services to global and Italian companies. In particular, Lorenzo supported major financial transactions like M&A, IPO, etc.. Following the period spent in consultancy, Lorenzo joined the leading global insurance company Generali, as Head of Group Media Relations. In 2006 Lorenzo moved to the Prysmian Group, global leader in the industry of cables and optical fiber for energy and telecommunications, as Vice President Global Communications & Public Affairs. Lorenzo can count on deep communications management skills combined with a wide business vision, in sectors like energy, telecom and infrastructures.

Ayush possesses experience in software engineeringAI, and technical project management. Prior to joining Haizum, he developed automated inventory tracking systems as a Planning Engineer Intern at Lumen Technologies and led cross-functional software development teams as a Project Manager at the Responsible AI Student Organization at Northwestern University. His interests lie at the intersection of responsible technology, decision-making, and institutional impact, with a focus on exploring ethical AI solutions and their applications in policy-adjacent settings. He is pursuing a triple major in Computer ScienceStatistics, and Social Policy at Northwestern.

Elena Maria Puri is Public & Government Assistant for Haizum. A recent graduate with a double Master’s in International Political Economy and International Security, from the London School of Economics and Sciences Po. With a solid academic background, including a Philosophy, Politics and Economics degree from the University of Sussex, Elena is equipped with a versatile skill set. During her professional journey, she served as Political Affairs intern and as UK Regional Director for The Borgen Project, showcasing leadership in poverty reduction initiatives and government relations. Elena also ventured into the corporate world, interning at Enel Group in Brussels, where she supported the daily activities of the European Affairs Unit. Elena’s commitment extends beyond her professional roles. As a Partner and Volunteer for Energia per i Diritti Umani, she collaborates on projects focusing on human and social development in Italy, Senegal, Gambia, and India. Recognized for talent and innovation, she participated in programs like the Financial Times x Made in Italy Challenge. Elena Maria Puri’s passion for exploring the multifaceted nature of today’s world is the driving force behind her approach to complex global challenges.
